I was a guest of the Istrian Tourism board and the Plava Laguna company who own a number of hotels, apartments and campsites in the area, and shot this video at the resort we were there. Plava Laguna Resort in Istria, Croatia Holiday by the sea at Plava Laguna Resort We really enjoyed our family break in Istria in Croatia and although my children would have gladly spent the whole time relaxing by the pool or taking a cooling dip in the sea, I did manage to drag them away to see something of the interesting old coastal and inland towns. We managed to compromise and found that the resort is ideal for families and couples who want a holiday base by the sea, in beautiful natural surroundings, with lots of activities in the resort and plenty to see when you want to get out and explore. The staff were delightful and everything about the hotel was well-run and excellent quality, keeping the busy flow of guests happy and in good humour.

Just in front of the hotel was a water ski-ing loop and tennis courts and 10 minutes walk away was a sports centre and bicycle hire. Dinner at Hotel Molindrio in Istria, Croatia Plava Laguna struck me as a resort that would be ideal for families with children of all ages, for extended family and multi-generational groups or for couples who like to be in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
