За это время я расписала главную героиню, что произойдёт в первом сезоне, во втором сезоне, в третьем, чем история закончится, самые критические моменты, любовные интересы. А кто-то из авторов приходит к руководителю со своей готовой историей. И дальше руководитель решает, стоит ли пускать её в разработку. В «Клубе Романтики» новелла выходит не целиком, а частями, которые потом дополняют с обновлениями. Правильно понимаю, что к моменту выхода первой главы новелла уже на самом деле вся готова? Хотя мы, авторы, примерно знаем, что произойдёт. Допустим, у меня есть дизайн-документ по «Теодоре», он занимает 15 страниц. Там внутри характеристика героини, описание сезонов.
Этот документ служит опорой. Дальше мы пишем главы, но пишем их к обновлениям. Но ты упоминала, что концовка изначально известна. Да, я знаю концовку, точнее, варианты концовок. Их, конечно, всегда несколько, иначе зачем нам эта вся интерактивность. Ключевые события, которые должны произойти, я не на месте выдумываю. Но я не из тех авторов, кто до мелочи всё планирует. Просто знаю примерно, что где должно быть.
Для опоры у меня есть знание, чем закончится история и сезон. Иначе правда можно запутаться. Я ведь ещё большой фанат чеховских ружей, которые должны выстрелить в нужный момент. Мне и как читателю очень нравится, когда что-то, закинутое в начале истории, в конце обретает смысл. Получается, что в отличие от обычного писателя, который пишет линейное произведение, автор интерактивной новеллы должен придумать не только основной сюжет, но и всевозможные ответвления в зависимости от решений игрока. Не путаются в голове все варианты? Поэтому нам надо следить за распределением очков, которые зарабатывает игрок и которые влияют на сюжет. Всё надо считать и прописывать.
В итоге ты вроде как пишешь одну историю, а получается 38 вариантов одной и той же истории. Это своеобразный челендж. Но мне он нравится. Может ли так получиться, что какие-то моменты новеллы изменят по желаниям фанатов? У нас есть пространство, чтобы что-то поменять. Но это опять же зависит от автора. Финалу первого сезона моей «Теодоры» обрадовались не все читатели. Конечно, я могу решить отойти от своего изначального замысла, но могу и не захотеть.
Здесь нужно сохранять баланс. Нам очень важны ожидания аудитории. Поэтому мы стараемся искать золотую середину. И всё же, если ты что-то придумала и понимаешь, что это важно для твоей истории и твоего главного героя, стоит это сделать. Кому-то это не понравится. А кто-то, напротив, оценит. Какими писателями ты вдохновляешься? К своему стыду, читаю я сейчас мало.
Времени хватает только на то, чтобы писать. Недавно начала Донну Тартт, но что-то она у меня не пошла. Мне нравится Джон Вердон. У него серия детективных романов. А я очень сильно люблю триллеры и детективы. Если говорить про стиль, мне нравится Карлос Руис Сафон. Он так создаёт атмосферу, что ты буквально чувствуешь себя в этой Испании, которую он описывает, и в состоянии героя. В его книгах столько информации, и чтобы это всё достоверно представить, нужно быть очень преданным своему делу человеком. Сюжет «Теодоры» разворачивается в Европе времён Первой мировой войны.
События так быстро и бессвязно сменяют друг друга, что сливаются в сплошной поток чистой сценарной глупости, а сюжетные повороты и дыры словно пытаются переплюнуть друг друга.
В общем, на выходе получается что-то достойное пера самого Томми Вайсо: читать такую литературу физически тяжело, но самых выносливых ждёт весьма специфическое вознаграждение. От игры под названием «Клуб Романтики» логично ждать особо тщательной проработки всего, что связано с любовными линиями, и в этом плане мои надежды сбылись. Романтика здесь вышла приторно слащавой. Внезапные душеизлияния, симпатия, взявшаяся из ниоткуда и пропавшая в никуда; иногда персонажи попросту забывают не только о пережитых наедине моментах, но даже о том, что они уже успели переспать. Если вы получаете удовольствие от кринжа, то передозировка запредельно неловких комплиментов вам понравится. Как ни странно, постельных сцен в игре тоже предостаточно, но стремиться к ним я настоятельно не советую. Если во время «обычных» романтических сцен есть риск насквозь пробить лоб ладонью, то от интима хочется убежать в глухой лес и никогда больше не смотреть другим людям в глаза. Человек, писавший эти моменты, либо ненавидел свою работу, либо обладал совсем уж поверхностным представлением о том, как функционируют живые люди.
Помните «смешные» варианты ответов в Super Seducer? Здесь примерно то же самое, только декорации разнообразней. Разбирать бредовые диалоги на цитаты и упиваться абсурдом сеттинга некоторых историй было действительно весело: определение «так плохо, что даже хорошо» словно придумано именно для этой игры. В общем-то, многие и играют в «Клуб» именно ради этого животворящего кринжа, а часть игроков твёрдо уверена, что оскорбительно низкое качество всего и вся — часть задумки. Хотелось бы, чтоб эта конспирологическая теория оказалась правдой, но есть одна деталь, которая, как мне кажется, разрушает иллюзию. Для своей работы ты старалась поймать эту самую дотошность к историческим фактам? В начале истории всё равно есть дисклеймер, что мы не претендуем на историческую достоверность. Но перед тем как начать писать, я посвятила время историческому ресёрчу. Теодора — журналистка во время Первой мировой войны. Информации об этом на русском языке очень мало. Но на английском мне удалось найти достаточное количество статей. Я искала, как там всё было устроено, искала реальных женщин-журналисток тех времён. И так получилась моя Тео. Это большая работа, но я считаю, это важная часть жанра — чтобы читатель верил.
Каким был твой самый сложный момент в работе над сценарием? Сложно было в момент запуска. Я тогда только начала разбираться в формате и коде игры. У меня уже были какие-то навыки после Episode, но это не совсем то же самое. Написание истории тоже далось нелегко именно в плане исторической достоверности. Хотя, напомню, я на неё не претендую. Но мне хотелось всё сделать как надо, чтобы у читателей создалась правильная атмосфера. Для этого надо было очень много прочитать, о многом подумать и многое учесть. О чём ты подумала, когда впервые увидела физическое воплощение своей истории?
У меня защемило сердечко. Это была гордость за всю команду. Работа была не маленькая, все переживали перед запуском, как аудитория отреагирует на новеллу. Но вне зависимости от реакции читателей я в любом случае гордилась этой работой. И продолжаю гордиться, ведь моя новелла ещё продолжается. Ты и писательница, и поклонница фанфиков. Этот жанр ведь появился, чтобы закрыть некую читательскую несправедливость. В твоей новелле, скажем так, чтобы без спойлеров, не совсем типичное завершение первого сезона.
