It could do with larger mags than those supplied, but it fired hard enough and fast enough for an N-Strike blaster. The firing velocity is on par with the rest of the Elite of about 70 feet per second and the trigger response time is as expected from an electronic feeding mechanism like this For those that are interested, there appears to be a sensor in front of the flywheel mech that detects if a dart has been fired.
As I mentioned the semi and burst modes are electronically controlled so they will complete their cycles with any amount of trigger input and this sensor makes this possible as a misfire would screw up if it was just timed The one issue I did find was that the conveyor belt slipped off its tracks a few times. This lead to changes in the rate of fire as the conveyor feeding system was not consistently pushing darts into the flywheels. This attaches like any other stock but it holds a magazine on the back, which is pretty useful. In the top, it also stores the carry handle attachment. The stock is a little short for me, but I am a full-grown adult and it is about the same length as the other N-Strike stocks We have already mentioned the carry handle barrel. This features a male and a female attachment point so you can attach that in between any other barrel combination you could possibly want. The top of the handle pivots and clicks into place every 90 degrees so if you want to shoot from the hip, you just turn it to the side and let rip! There is also a little peephole in the top of the carry handle to allow the included sights to have a line of sight so when you attach these other optics you can look through it.

My Nerf Modulus ECS-10 Review
Dual-Rail Barrel The dual rail barrel is a nice addition to any, compatible, blaster. It is very sturdy, locks in nicely and looks particularly cool. Like the other barrel upgrades the dual rail may not add much to your performance but does allow you to style the blaster they way you want it. Be sure to take a look at the other barrels before you make your choice. Imagine being in a intense fire fight and you run out of darts , you would be defenceless! The Blaster Stock is an essential upgrade for any true blaster enthusiast, it is a lot of fun and really helps out in those tricky situations.
It extends on the standard stock length and gives you a nice amount of stability if you are firing from your shoulder. Not as exciting as some of the other but definitely not useless!
The basic kit — offering 30 potential combinations of blaster setup — comes complete with the blaster unit, a targeting scope, a drop grip, dual-rail barrel, storage stock, banana clip, and ten darts.
This appealed, alongside the fact that the ECS-10 Blaster felt largely sturdy in place. A squeeze of the trigger and the newly styled white darts with red tip blasted out a decent distance. The ten clip runs out pretty quickly too.
As far as extras are concerned, there are four expansion packs with this new Modulus range and with them all you have an incredible 1,000 blaster permutations at your disposal — which really is overkill. The Flip Clip should probably be at the top of any NERF shopping list, giving you an additional 24 foam darts and, as the name suggests, a way to get them all into action at speed.
While this is definitely an improvement compared to some other Nerf blasters that require big batteries or larger quantities of smaller batteries, there is still the issue with the fact that blasters require a lot of power, which means more batteries that have to be purchased. If the blaster is overloaded with additional parts, it adds stress to the barrel and makes it harder to shoot out bullets and maintain its accuracy. Also, because the gun uses batteries to operate, it is known to jam and to be hard to fire on occasion. Is It Worth the Price? Although this is a little on the expensive end for most Nerf users, what you get and what you are able to do with it makes it more valuable than some of the other blasters available on the market at the same price. Considering what you get when you purchase this blaster and how little you will have to spend in order to upgrade it in the future, this is a great buy. Keep in mind, however, that in order to get the most out of the Modulus series and to make all 1,000 possible combinations, you will have to buy more of the Nerf Modulus series blasters in the future, which will cost you more money down the road.
