New Features of Revit 2024!
In 3D views, visually compare collaboration models created in Revit or other modeling tools for coordination purposes. You can link directly to views from Autodesk Docs without downloading the file to a local resource. Views linked from Autodesk Docs use permissions from the Autodesk Docs account to manage access, making it easier to use the collaboration workflow when IP protection is important. Snap Points for Coordination Models Use snap points to easily model in context, to measure between two references based on the coordination model points, or to better position the coordination model.
Figure 7. Platform There are several new features in Revit 2024 that are not discipline specific. User Interface The user interface has a number of changes. Most of the icons have been refreshed in support of a new dark theme option. The project browser is also completely updated and now includes a search option at the top.

This new feature can be set to follow the operating system setting. When first used, the canvas area is also set to a dark theme. This can be adjusted back to a light color while still in the dark theme if desired. Figure 9. The new dark theme for the UI and palettes.
Figure 10. The option to adjust the canvas color in dark theme mode. Revit Macro Security Macros are now disabled by default for enhanced security, as shown in the Revit Options dialog below. Any individual or company can change these by deployment or manually if desired. Figure 11. Macros are disabled by default in Revit 2024. Resize All Schedule Rows When a schedule on a sheet is selected, there are now a few options in the Properties Palette to control the row height and rotation on the sheet. Selection of All for Resize Rows makes the row height consistent.

This includes the ability to schedule related information such as the sheet or view name that the cloud is placed on. Figure 13. Revision clouds can now be scheduled. Open Sheet Directly from View If a view is placed on a sheet, that sheet can now be opened quickly via right-clicking within the view and selecting Open Sheet as shown here. Figure 14.
Right-click in a view to open the sheet it is placed on quickly. Place Multiple Views and Schedules Multiple selected views and schedules can be dragged from the Project Browser onto a sheet. These are spaced out sufficiently so they do not overlap, but they likely require manual adjustment once placed. It is also possible to drag views from one sheet to another within the Project Browser as shown in Figure 16, in which case the views are positioned in the same location. Figure 15. Example of a dialog enhanced to be resizable. Sorting of Project Parameters in Properties Project parameters are now sorted alphanumerically in the instance and type properties dialogs. Family parameters are unchanged from previous behavior. Architectural The architectural discipline has several new features and will make a lot of architects and designers happy.

It is possible to have ambient and sun shadows on in this mode, as shown in the example below ambient shadows are on.
Previously, the only way to see the texture was to turn on Realistic, which is way too slow, and that is what we have Enscape for! The site tools represent the most significant change for architects! We now have a toposolid command rather than a toposurface.
As the name change implies, the ground is now represented by solid geometry rather than a 2D surface. Missing from the ribbon below is the Building Pad command. Instead, users will now create an in-place mass element that can have sloped edges or define a tunnel, and then use the Cut Geometry tool against it and the toposolid.
One great thing about this for Enscape users is that slabs and walls must be cut from the toposolid. This means that there will never be grass inside the building coming through a floor slab or coming through a sidewalk again in Enscape. There are also opportunities to sweep profiles along the surface to create curbs, for example.
Here is an in-place mass with a sloped edge. The old building pad option only resulted in vertical edges. Here is an in-place mass creating a tunnel within the toposolid.
This was not possible in previous versions of Revit. Cut geometry enhancement With the advent of the toposolid feature, there have been enhancements to what kind of elements can be used to cut other elements. Because the toposolid is a solid, Revit does not know that other elements should automatically cut it.

Периметр помещения Напоследок ещё одно очень полезное изменение. Раньше периметр помещения считался некорректно, если внутри помещения есть колонны или стены, площадь считается правильно, а периметр нет — не учитывает их. Теперь это допилили и периметр считается правильно.
Если где-то в расчётах используете периметр это очень полезно, не придётся делать дополнительный параметр для ручного добавления таких вещей. И всё таки — А раньше нельзя было поправить?! Периметр помещения в Revit 2024 Периметр помещения в Revit 2025 Инженерные и конструктивные новинки не стал разбирать, есть по этим разделам более продвинутые эксперты. Подводя итоги, для релиза новой версии конечно мало.
На мой взгляд стоящих всего 3 изменения: Коллекции листов, Массив, Периметр помещения. Очевидно что изменений на полноценную новую версию копится за 3 года, а не за 1.

Благодаря этим изменениям была улучшена видимость контекстных вкладок и панели параметров в темной и светлой темах. Проигрыватель Dynamo! Просмотр проблем и зависимостей графиков, добавление выводов изображений, а также ознакомление с новыми образцами графиков в проигрывателе Dynamo для Revit 2024. Реализованы следующие улучшения. Новое средство просмотра проблем позволяет изучать проблемы с графиками, включая ошибки и предупреждения, в проигрывателе Dynamo. Доступ к средству просмотра проблем можно получить из нижнего колонтитула проигрывателя после запуска графика, если имеется хотя бы одна ошибка или предупреждение, или из меню «Параметры». Зависимости каждого графика можно проверить в проигрывателе с помощью нового диалогового окна «Зависимости графика». Это диалоговое окно позволяет быстро определить, какие пакеты, внешние файлы или другие зависимости требуются для корректной работы графика, что позволяет выявить отсутствующие зависимости и установить их в Dynamo. Доступны два новых образца графиков: «Случайное размещение экземпляра семейства» и «Предупреждения — изоляция элементов».
In response to popular demand, Revit 2024 has also introduced a dark theme. Thus, real-time rendering provided by D5 Render comes in handy for an instant preview of design projects. It has a livesync plugin to connect with Revit 2024 so that designers can see their projects rendered on the fly.
Revit designers can easily make an animation for their projects, delivering design ideas more effectively to clients.
Built-in asset library: Architects and landscape designers using Revit 2024 no longer need to search for models or materials over the Internet. You can sync perspectives, materials, models, and lights from Revit to D5. Later changes made in Revit can also been synced in real time.
As mentioned, Toposolid works like any other system family and can be created out of different layers with thickness and different materials. The new template contains six pre-made Toposolids with varying layers, giving you examples of how to create, roads, grassland, jetty, and lakes. While using the new Toposolid, you can cut this solid with other elements, such as Walls, Floors, etc. As a result, the graphics inside the view will now show correctly. This method can be more complex and time-consuming, but allows you to create any shape you want. Hopefully, we will get a better tool in the future. You can find the Sun settings in the ribbon on the right side.
The settings dialog still looks the same as the earlier Revit versions, a minor improvement has been made to the Time Interval feature, which now offers additional increments. Revit now offers intervals of 15, 30, 45, and 60 seconds, which allows you to analyze shadows with greater accuracy. In addition, you can drag the Sun along its path in Perspective mode instead of using the Orthographic mode. These models are lightweight and elements can be selected. You can read out the information from the selected element in the Properties Browser. One of the main benefits is the capability to link models from previous versions of Revit without upgrading them.
