Everything he does looks so easy and his game has no weaknesses. I think he should be good for 65-70 points per year at his peak. The Devils need to surround him with better talent. That entire organization is trending in the wrong direction in a major way. I could see a scenario in which he nearly doubles those total next season. They took Glass with that pick and ended up taking Suzuki with their second pick, 13th overall. Suzuki was traded to Montreal in the Max Pacioretty deal before ever playing for the team. He went on to post 41 points in 71 games in his rookie season with the Habs.
They also acquired Tony DeAngelo in that deal. This was before the Rangers committed to their rebuild and they thought Andersson could step in and play right away. Thomas is an excellent depth option who will be pushed up the lineup in St.

In the NHL, he has continued to produce at an impressive rate and has shown he can run a powerplay. Some have given up on him, but if he remains healthy he can still reach his potential. His frame means he can win pick battles and maintain possession, and his quick hands and creativity mean he can create chances. He is just as good as a setup man or a finisher. If he can round out his game and start to make the simple plays more consistently, he may end up higher on this list. However, the players above him have been more effective thus far. Standing at six-foot-three, 200 pounds, he is most effective below the hash marks where he can dictate play with his size, shot and vision. He also possesses a powerful release, making him a well-rounded threat. This season we will see whether or not Vilardi can fully recover from the injuries that have plagued his career thus far.
He plays a simple but highly effective game, using his slick hands to carry the puck into vantage points where he can beat the goalie himself with or find a teammate with ease. He is a safe bet to be a second-line center, having produced well but not extraordinarily at all levels. He is lethal in the offensive zone, hard to get off the puck and is an elite passer. Similar to Patrick and Vilardi, Glass is another big, talented Canadian centreman whose future is hard to project given his injury history. However, he has shown improvement at the pro level and he is too talented not to make the NHL. When the opposition inevitably closes in on him, he can also make space for himself with his creativity. He is a fluid skater, so he generates a lot of offense on the rush and he is effective on the powerplay. Despite having the fourth-most games played out of this class, the upside of the players above him is higher. Rather than trying to rush the puck every time, he identifies when he can burn the defender and when to make a play.

Лучший атакующий проспект «Сент-Луиса» Ларс Эллер был обменян в «Монреаль», а все остальные перспективные игроки — центры. Все основания для этого есть. За вторую половину сезона в КХЛ Евгений подтянулся чуть ли не до уровня лидера «Трактора», и испытывает большой энтузиазм по части отъезда за океан — это было видно невооруженным глазом и по интервью, и следует из его собственных слов. В общем-то, Кузнецов прождал до 26-го номера только благодаря своему двухлетнему контракту, это тоже факт. Небольшой опыт игры на маленьких площадках и скромные габариты однозначно говорят о том, что Кузнецов не готов к НХЛ. Да и неопределенная ситуация в «Вашингтоне» со своими игроками делает его приезд пока нежелательным.
Дальше все зависит только от Евгения: если он будет хорошо кушать, много готовиться и окончательно адаптируется к игре против взрослых в КХЛ, то его можно через год ждать сразу в основном составе «Кэпиталс». Дальше — крайний форвард второго или третьего звена, а потом постепенно вверх, вплоть до третьего места в звене Овечкина и Бэкстрема. Пределов для него нет, главное — продолжать работать и совершенствоваться. К Сочи-2014 как раз может стать одним из лучших.
