Но лиха беда начало-писателя так увлекла работа ,что планируемые скромные три тома превратились в семикнижье ,маленькое королевство - в огромный мир со странами и континентами,временной отрезок размером в человеческую жизнь-в тысячелетнюю историю,а пятеро главных героев -в 9 Великих Домов Вестероса Мой путь к Песне начался так же как и у огромного числа других читателей-с сериала. За что ему конечно же отдельное спасибо. И хотя с самого начала я не хотела спойлерить себе сюжет и планировала заняться чтением после окончания Игры Престолов,но малодушно сломалась,когда поняла что 2-й сезон закончился,а до 3-го ещё целый год. Потому что разница между сериалом и книгами -как между игрушечным калейдоскопом и витражом Собора Парижской Богоматери. Не в части качества,мастерства или профессионализма,а в масштабе,красках и детальности. Одна из причин по которой я так люблю эти книги именно та,за которую её критикуют многие читатели-огромное количество деталей и множество персонажей,появляющихся иногда лишь в паре предложений. Конечно можно. Умные,трусливые,красивые,упрямые,уродливые,талантливые,злые,нищие,суровые,бедные,глупые,богатые,сумасшедшие,грешники,праведники-весь спектр человеческих качеств и фактур,объединенный одним свойством-они настоящие.
Мартин заявил, что не позволит поклонникам телесериала "Игра престолов" по его саге влиять на завершение его романов, даже если оно совпадет с финалом телепроекта. Джордж Мартин сказал, что ему не хочется повторяться, и потому есть соблазн внести изменения в две последние книги. Но он понимает, что так сделать будет неправильно. Мартин признался, что планирует конкретное завершение, а если внезапно изменить сюжетную канву, дабы обмануть чьи-то ожидания и прогнозы, его замысел пойдет насмарку.
